ICYMI: Huffington Post reports “Ami Bera Defeats Doug Ose In Nation’s Most Expensive House Race”

In case you missed it, the Huffington Post reported today that the Congressional race in California’s 7th district was the most expensive race in the United States. A number of Davis College Democrats members interned and volunteered on incumbent Ami Bera’s campaign, along with alumni of UC Davis and the club.

Below is an excerpt from the piece:

Democratic Rep. Ami Bera has won the race to represent California’s 7th District. The AP called the race Wednesday, over two weeks after Election Day.

Bera, a freshman congressman, was challenged by Republican Doug Ose, who served in Congress from 1999 to 2005. Ose received backing from Crossroads GPS, the Karl Rove-backed dark money group.

The race was the nation’s most expensive House race, topping $20 million.
